Kayo is an illustrator from Ghent, Belgium.
Drawing has been a lifelong passion, interweaving with my studies in French and Italian literature. I started drawing on commissions alongside my job as a teacher first and as a marketing and communication coordinator next. Since the birth of my first child, and even more since the birth of my second, I’ve found more time for this passion.
I appreciate simplicity, the interplay of roughness and detail, and playing around with textures. Exploring pencil on paper, I'm drawn to negative space, gradients, and the full potential of the pencil. I aspire to focus on themes of nature and parenting, contributing to vital messages.
If you’ve got a project you’d like to collaborate on, I’d love to hear from you.
